FAQ
How far in advance should clients schedule their maternity session?
It's recommended that clients schedule their maternity session between the 28th and 34th week of pregnancy. This timeframe allows for a visible baby bump without the discomfort that may come in the later stages.
What is the difference between studio & outdoor collections?
The main difference is with studio sessions, we do not return all softcopies, and only selected
softcopies are retouched and returned.
Are partners and other family members encouraged to participate in the session?
Absolutely! Partners and other family members are more than welcome to join the session. Including loved ones can add a personal touch and capture the excitement and anticipation of the entire family.
Are makeup & clothing included?
Makeup & clothing are not included but we are more than happy to give you recommendations.
What does "retouch" means?
Our studio provides professional photo retouching services to enhance images while maintaining a natural and aesthetically pleasing look. Our retouching includes:
Skin Retouching: Smoothing skin while preserving natural texture and avoiding an overly airbrushed appearance.
Body Adjustments: Subtle refinements for a more balanced composition, without excessive or unrealistic modifications.
Stray Hair Removal: Cleaning up stray hairs to ensure a polished and tidy look.
Important Notes:
No Alteration of Facial Features: We do not modify facial structures, features, or anything that changes a person’s unique identity.
No Changes to Poses or Expressions: The original body posture and facial expressions will remain unchanged.
Editing Style Determined by Photographer/Retoucher:
We follow a professional aesthetic standard and do not offer unlimited revisions. Only one final version will be provided.
How many outfits can we wear for the shoot?
You may wear 1-2 outfits for mini session, do talk to us if you have any ideas regarding your outfits.
We recommend one outfit only for the outdoor sessions (due to difficulty in changing clothes on location.
Can clients bring props or personal items to incorporate into the session?
Yes, clients are encouraged to bring meaningful props or personal items, such as baby shoes, ultrasound images, or any other items that hold sentimental value. These additions can make the photos more unique and special.
Can clients request specific poses or ideas for their maternity session?
Absolutely! I welcome clients' input and encourage them to share any specific poses, themes, or ideas they have in mind. This helps personalize the session and ensures that the clients' vision is captured.
What is your turnover timeframe & workflow?
For our studio sessions, you will receive a link to select your images within 1 day after your session.
Depending on when you submit your selection, we will need an additional 10-14 days to deliver your retouched images and framed print.
For outdoor or home session, you will receive your gallery within 7-10 days after your session, the gallery will contain all the photos (basic color adjustment only)
Same with studio session, we will need an additional 10-14 days to deliver the retouched files and framed print.
How would you describe the difference between studio & outdoor sessions?
With studio sessions, poses are more formal and posed, with an emphasis on half-body poses. With outdoor sessions, there will be many candid moments captured in between since we will be walking and moving around for the shoot.
How are retouched images delivered, and what is the turnaround time?
Retouched images are typically delivered digitally through an online gallery. The turnaround time for delivering the final edited images is usually within 2 to 3 weeks after the session.
What is the next step if I want to book your service?
A 50% retainer fee is needed to secure your booking, it's important to review our T&C before you book us.
Once you are ready to go forward with the booking, let us know your email and we will prepare the invoice for you.
Please note that the retainer fee is non-refundable, in case of an act of God or other emergencies, we can refund via the following options: other photography sessions, albums, or you may also transfer your deposit to someone else.
